My Very Own Crafty Corner

Well as I am an avid card maker and scrapbooker, I have decided to now give myself extra work and do a crafting blog as well!!! Hopefully it will encourage me to actually do some crafting!

Well my craft blog should start with my crafting resolutions for me to start and get crafting again! After all that is a good place to start isn't it?


Right here goes this is what I want to achieve:


1. Spend one day a month making Christmas cards - I will aim to do this around 25th each month (Rudolph day as it is called on one of my yahoo groups!)


2. Spend one day a month making Birthday cards and other cards - not just for my personal use but to use for Post Pals as well


3. Plan and start my family Christmas presents - need to scour through all the craft blogs and websites to find great gift ideas and inspiration! Then make my list and stick to it! At least then I can even start making them sooner rather than later!

4. Spend at least one day a month scrapbooking, as I really enjoy this but the last year has taken its toll and I am so behind!

5. Not start any new major projects this year - this one will be hard as I am a great one for starting big projects but not finishing them (hence why I have so many UFOs).

6. It is a waste of time going on a stash diet as I always break it! I am just going to try and be a bit more considered about my purchases. I am always going to need consumables like glue, cardstock, blade refills for my cutters but I will think a little more about my other purchases - dies, punches, stamps and embellishments.

7. Challenges - this sounds like a good idea to get most of my scrapbooking and card making fulfilling - using challenges and competitions to help get some scrapbooking done and hopefully get my inspiration and creativity to flow! A good place I found was Pile it Up blog as it has the challenges on their blog side bar all nicely labelled.

This is not a final list but the start of my crafting resolutions for the coming months!
